VFX Production Assistant

Description

CoSA VFX has an opportunity in its Atlanta, GA studio for a Production Assistant-VFX Production. This position is ideal for someone interested in launching a career in visual effects production. 

Production Assistants work directly with our team of producers, coordinators, artists and supervisors. Duties include organizing computer files, updating databases and performing deliveries (both physical runs and digital uploads) as well as other production and administrative duties. 

While this position involves working closely with VFX artists and supervisors, this position is solely a production position and is not on an artist track. The successful candidate must be comfortable updating MS-Excel spreadsheets, email lists and databases with a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Our company is a fast-paced and highly collaborative production environment. Recent projects include Gotham, Westworld,  and The Gifted as well as a full slate of prominent television and film projects.

Critical skills and abilities include: 

• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening skills and teamwork ability
• Outstanding organizational skills-digital files in particular
• Ability to stay focused on complex tasks and to make sure they are completed per CoSAVFX standards
• Intake and route phone calls for the studio
• Ability to keep track of multiple priorities, and deliver on time
• Proficiency with Mac OS X, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Consistently positive attitude
• Genuine interest in developing new skills through gaining experience
• Reliable vehicle, personal auto insurance and clean driving record
• Knowledge of VFX processes and practices a plus
