Associate Animator (Temp)

Description

NetherRealm Studios, a division of WB Games Inc., seeks an Associate Artist/Animator to work closely with the Mobile Animators, Mobile Art Lead and additional development partners to maintain and create high quality animations for real time in game movement. Assists Lead in helping define process and pipelines along with aesthetic goals.

  • Responsible for animating 3D character models and cameras in a realistic game, including working with motion capture data, hand key frame animations and facial/lip synch animations. 
  • Animation bug fixing
  • Assists in R&D efforts for tools enhancements and prototyping of new technology
  • Work with engineers and designers to prototype new game features
  • Participates in department meetings to share personal ideas and define the look and feel of areas and characters
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The Candidate follows instructions clearly to avoid errors and makes an effort to ask for clarification if needed.
  • Must be proficient in one or more types of 3D software but Primarily Motion Builder.
  • Takes initiative in pursuing new assignments. May pursue new assignments and identify tasks.
  • Familiar with Unreal Engine 4
  • A portfolio / demo reel demonstrating proficiency in Animation is required.
  • Strong technical problem solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines. Highly organized. Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Reliable in attendance, promptness and readiness to work. Works diligently or seeks help to minimize distractions that may stand in the way of doing the job.
  • Responsible in all forms of digital presence and Social Media. Disciplined in maintaining work confidentiality as directed by the company rules.
  • Strong interest in Mobile Game development.
