Position Overview
SideFX is seeking a conscientious, proactive technical
person with strong Houdini skills and background to join our Customer Success
team, within SideFX’s Sales department. As part of the Customer Success team
responsible for on-boarding of new customers and assisting growing customers to
get the most benefit from our technology, you will be working hand in hand with
the team to provide direct technical guidance to a wide variety of our customers.
You are seen as Houdini guru, communicating
Houdini’s capabilities and features to our customers. You’re an excellent
listener, with good judgement, who takes the time to understand what each user
hopes to achieve and helps them reach their goals. With strong presentation skills
and the ability to adapt to your audience, you act as a technology enabler for
our customers. Through video conferencing and interactively working with small
groups and/or one-on-one, you provide guidance for customers to understand and
accomplish Houdini related challenges and tasks. You help develop and build Houdini skills for
artists.
As a Houdini Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for the
following:
- Leading one-on-one and one-to-many technical discussions, guiding
customers to optimize Houdini use in their workflows.
- Collaborating with members of the sales team to facilitate increased
Houdini adoption throughout the studio.
- Enhancing your knowledge and understanding of all areas of our
products by being hands-on with our software.
- Contributing to the creation and revisions of learning materials
to be used by our customers.
- Sharing customer feedback and new industry requirements with our
R&D team to help guide future product development.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills
- Thorough understanding of and practical experience with Houdini
software, preferably with two years working knowledge.
- Experience presenting concepts and communicating value.
- High skill level of problem-solving and an ability to learn quickly.
- You are self-motivated and self-directed, while adhering to
scheduled appointments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and
work on several subject areas at once.
- Any production experience in film, tv, or games is viewed favorably.
- Experience communicating with stakeholders at all levels of an
organization, from end-users to C-level executives is an asset.
- Experience in technical/consultative sales preferred.
