Head of Production



Rhythm & Hues Studios is an award winning design and digital production studio. Rhythm is hiring for the position of Head of Production, INDIA. The position reports directly to the Los Angeles Head of Production and LA VP of Finance, and is responsible for the management and execution of all production through the India studio as well as the team of Producers, VFX Supervisors, Lead Creatives. The Head of Production is a key management role fully integrated with the Los Angeles management team and is key to the success of the studio. The position shares oversight and responsibility for budgets, schedules, revenue, expense, staffing, and deliveries. The Head of Production is responsible for balancing and prioritizing the needs across all departments with timely and efficient delivery of the projects, to the highest quality standards as the ultimate goal. The Head of Production will cover aspects of new business, establishing and maintaining client relationships on behalf of Rhythm & Hues and leading the creation of award winning work. This position acts as an ambassador for Rhythm & Hues and should be knowledgeable of its history, culture, current projects, key staff, and creative and technical capabilities. 


At least 4 years of VFX producing, VFX supervising experience with tent-pole or franchise clients as lead producer or manager 

Experienced team leader with skilled mentorship and guidance of production staff 

Highest degree of integrity and accountability as team leader and company manager 

Proven ability to execute production and business plan 

Prefer 8 years experience in Feature Film or TV visual effects production on best of class shows with a track record of positive client relationships, and a strong network of contacts in the post-production industry. 

Prefer international experience, working with both US clients and clients throughout the globe 

Ability to manage and service highest end clients to first class industry standards, including strong presentation skills and preparing bids and proposals to clients 

Business acumen and an ability to balance financial responsibilities with client and company expectations 

Thorough understanding of VFX production pipelines and post-production in general 

Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal 

Strong organizational skills 

Demonstrated success engaging in problem solving techniques 

Strong scheduling, tracking and resource management skills 

Must be collaborative and a resourceful and creative problem solver 

Self starter with a high level of initiative 

Ensure communication among production team and to senior management 

Experience leading teams of at least 30+ people 

Extremely organized and proficient overseeing multiple project schedules 

A strong understanding of underlying VFX and animation contractual deal points with the related negotiating skills 

Ability to work well under pressure and with strict deadlines 

Strong knowledge of the international VFX Market, including an understanding of the current trends in global streaming services such as Netflix, Apple, Amazon, Hulu, etc. 

Must have experience recruiting staff and freelance artists and production staff
