Your
Mission
Activision
is looking for talented Technical
Artists at multiple locations to join our different studios in working
across the next generation of the Call of Duty franchise as well as on other
projects.
Specific
responsibilities and requirements will vary a bit role by role, but a broad
rundown would include:

Ability
to brainstorm, R&D, and implement various project pipelines and toolsets
·
Work
with artists to identify and solve technical problems with existing tools
·
Support
in content creation when needed (such as destructible creation or map
optimization)
·
Provide
support for the technical art team in engine debugging and R&D
·
Acquire
a strong knowledge of the engine tools and framework and be able to explain how
they work to content creators
·
Seek
out and fix performance issues including, but not limited to: framerate issues,
memory problems, material errors, and collision issues
·
Support
in content creation when needed (such as destructible creation or map
optimization)
·
Act
as a liaison between art, design, and engineering
Player
Profile
·
2-5
years of experience as a senior/lead technical artist
·
Scripting
knowledge (Python, Javascript, MAX Script, MEL)
·
Working
knowledge of at least one DCC package (3Ds Max, Maya, Photoshop preferred)
·
Previous
experience with AAA game engines (Unreal, Unity, proprietary, etc...)
·
Strong
problem solving skills
·
Strong
communication, interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills
·
Ability
to adapt to rapid development cycles
·
Up
to date knowledge of current art techniques and development processes.
·
Strong
PBR and HDR knowledge
