CURRENT PDSG & VASG OPPORTUNITIES (San Diego and Los Angeles CA)

 

Animator - San Diego

3D Character animator to work on the cinematics cinematic storytelling of our current project. Focused heavily on lip sync/dialog and emotions, we’re looking for someone with strong Maya experience, MotionBuilder a big plus.

Backend Web Developer/Devops Engineer - San Diego

Play a key role on our new game development team researching, identifying and resolving complex problems. Must have 3-5 years' experience performing as Backend Web Developer or DevOps Engineer with a strong understanding of server architecture and maintenance, at least 2 years' professional experience outside of academic programming in either Python, JavaScript and/or PHP, as well as experience performing database design and query optimizations using NoSQL databases. 

Environment Art Lead/Supervisor - San Diego 

3D Environment Artist with an understanding of environment storytelling and in-game cinematic art asset creation. Advanced understanding of Maya and Zbrush, or Mudbox required. Ideally with Material/Substance Designer skills, and strong aesthetic experience. Must have at least 1 shipped AAA title as a lead or supervisor.

Senior Materials Artist - San Diego

Create realistic in-game and in-game cinematic quality environments and props. Ability to create environments from detailed concepts and a single photograph required. Also required- expert knowledge of Substance Designer and Painter, strong understanding of PBR, at least 5 years' experience with at least 2 shipped AAA titles as Environment Artist. Pluses: Shader authoring and photogrammetry experience. 

Senior Blendshape Artist - San Diego 

Responsible for bringing highly-realistic faces to life for both cinematic and in-game sequences. Must have strong understanding of Maya and use of blend shapes, experience with facial rigging, sculpting in Zbrush, Mudbox, etc., and solid grasp of realistic human anatomy with special emphasis of the head/face. Pluses: Experience with- Facial Action Coding System, Blendshape Combo System plug-in, and/or Perforce.

Senior Character TD - San Diego

Experienced Character TD/Rigger with expert Maya and Python rigging/scripting skills and strong knowledge of anatomy and realistic deformation. Must have games production experience, and understand character/prop rigging techniques and principles. Cloth setup experience and/or C++/Maya API is a major plus.

Rigging Supervisor - San Diego 

Character Rigger with leadership experience on at least 1 AAA game, expert Maya and Python rigging/scripting skills, strong understanding of anatomy and realistic deformation. Must have games production experience, and understand character/prop rigging techniques and principles. Cloth setup experience and/or C++/Maya API is a major plus.

Technical Artist - San Diego 

Responsible for setting up and maintaining the technical pipeline on all projects, writing tools for artists for a variety of software packages and needs, troubleshooting all technical issues that arise, and ensuring the quality of the final product. This person will work with both our art and engineering teams to communicate and creatively problem solve between the groups. Must know: Python, Maya with 3+ years' in game dev FX and experience working with game engines. 

Senior Lighting Artist - San Diego 

Works closely with developers and Lighting Supervisor to understand proprietary engine's lighting workflows, and deliver the vision for the look of the game title. 5+ years' games or film industry experience, current-gen video game engine experience knowledge of lighting production pipelines, tools and systems, and knowledge of Maya required. Pluses: Unreal or Unity experience, Python and/or C++ scripting. 

Senior UX Designer - San Diego

You will work closely with Engineering, Product Planning, Senior Management, and regional stakeholders to define user workflow and interface for new and existing internal and external software applications and services. 6+ years' extensive experience in designing compelling and quality interfaces, and understanding and experience with User Centered Design Methodologies (UCD) required. 

Senior Audio Designer - Los Angeles/Burbank 

Works closely with the Insomniac audio team to maintain a high level of quality and consistency of assets. Experience focused on original sound effect design, creation, mixing, processing and implementation, or, AAA computer/video game product development experience. Shipped game experience with Wwise is required; Avid Pro Tools and Sound Forge experience highly preferred. 

VFX Artist

Talented, highly motivated and creative FX Artist who will help create the highest-quality game FX possible. Must have portfolio of photo-realistic, high-quality, real-time FX work, with mastery of standard art packages like Maya and Photoshop. Thorough understanding of shader techniques as applied to VFX required; Python, C++, Premier/After Effects, or Houdini experience a major plus.
