Console Graphics Engineer

Amazon Lumberyard is a free AAA game engine deeply integrated with AWS and Twitch – with full source. The Lumberyard team aspires to help game developers create the highest quality games, engage massive communities of fans, and connect their games to the vast compute and storage of the cloud.

Are you passionate by graphics engineering and game consoles? The console team on Lumberyard is expending, and working on making Lumberyard the best consoles game engine.

As a Sr Graphics Engineer, you will:
· Implement and improve PS4, Xbox consoles graphics integration in Lumberyard.
· You will design and implement the support for the next generation of consoles graphics.
· Be the main point of contact for console graphics support in Lumberyard.
· Drive design and architecture decisions that result in strong balance of performance, flexibility, and maintainability.
· Investigate, Design and develop the best way to provide Xbox and PS4 and next gen consoles services for console games projects using Lumberyard in a multi-platform game engine.
· Work in collaboration with the graphic team making a state-of-the-art graphic renderer.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
· 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, working on multi-discipline teams.
· Experience with at least one of API: DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan, OpenCL, Cuda.
· 3+ years professional experience writing C++ code.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience using profiling tools, both CPU and GPU
· Experience with game engine such as Unreal, Unity, Lumberyard
· Shipped 3D games, or commercial 3D graphics software
· Expertise in GPU Hardware architecture, graphics API, shading language, GPU ray tracing, global illumination.
· Good communication skills and ability to work effectively on shared projects with designers, artists, testers, and other developers.
