Filmmaker/Producer

SCAD seeks a creative, adaptable and resourceful filmmaker/producer to lead and manage video projects from start to finish. The filmmaker/producer is responsible for lighting and shooting a diverse range of high-quality video content; maintaining video, lighting, and audio equipment; and naming, transferring, and storing media. This employee will be responsible for working in the field and in studio productions, both as an individual and as a member of the visual media team.

This role entails managing freelancers, working closely with videographers, editors, media managers, graphics, communications manager and other department team leaders, and producing high-quality videos.
The ideal candidate has management experience and a firm sense of what’s widely shared on online video and social platforms, as well as a deep knowledge and passion of internet social trends with an excellent creative eye and communication skills. Videography, audio, media management and editing knowledge is a must.
You should be personable as interviewing high-profile visiting artists, shy students and busy staff and faculty members constitutes a large portion of the job. The ability to travel domestically and internationally at short notice is required, and you must be available to work outside office hours, weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
— Bachelor’s degree
— Relevant experience in communications and media studies, photography/film/television, information technology/multimedia and broadcasting
— Five to seven years of experience in relevant video production

— Two or more years of management experience
