Communications Coach
Description
SCAD seeks a
Communications Coach to support faculty members in advancing the
delivery of presentations and constructing engaging learning
environments. In this role, you will develop out-of-class learning
opportunities focused on vocabulary, writing and public speaking.
You will also offer monthly out-of-class workshops on specific topics
to support in-class learning, design and implement co-curricular
programs and provide advanced training.
The successful candidate will improve the faculty’s public speaking
and writing skills to contribute to overall academic achievement. He or
she will also mentor professors in the art of communicating ideas to
executives, board members, business-sector leads and project managers.
The ideal candidate has exceptional organization, communication and
critical thinking skills, and can independently prioritize and manage
projects. An ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student,
faculty and staff population is essential.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, drama or related field
• Applied international experience
• Significant acting or performance experience preferred
