3D Artist

Description

McManis & Monsalve Associates is looking for a 3D Artist to join a small team of multimedia content creators to support a government client.   Location:  Fort Bragg, NC 

Responsibilities:

• Translate 2D designs, logos, and illustrations into fully realized 3D assets and animations
• Animate 3D and 2D elements in Autodesk Maya and Adobe After Effects in support of video productions
• Assist with design and illustration of graphics that help achieve customers' visions and intentions
• Work independently and collaboratively with a team of other multimedia content creators from the earliest stages of a project, through to the project’s completion
• Provide advice on all matters pertaining to the planning, coordination, and execution of 3D and 2D graphics production, animation, and compositing; when required, recommend the best approach to complete the task through the knowledgeable budgeting of available resources such as time, software, and hardware
• Assist with training exercises and provide advanced subject matter expertise to support the professional development of junior multimedia content creators   

Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge of Autodesk Maya
• Demonstrable proficiency of every stage of 3D asset production and animation, including: modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, and rendering
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud software, in particular: After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Must provide a recent demo reel showcasing generalist 3D artist skill set
• Portfolio of design and illustration (preferred)
• Experience creating 2D and 3D assets for use in video productions
• Capable of designing effective and impactful logos using customer input, either from scratch or based on existing concepts
• Must already possess or be qualified to obtain a SECRET security clearance   

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Animation, Motion Design, Visual Effects is preferred
• 5-7 years industry experience preferred
• Worked independently or collaboratively with a client to deliver a broad range of consulting services
• Must possess effective analysis, problem solving, communications and interpersonal skills
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Applications
