SUMMARY OF COMPANY

As part of Hasbro Entertainment, Boulder Media is building a new feature animation division. We are excited to offer a talented CG Supervisor the opportunity to join our very successful and established animation studio as we expand into a new area. We will be producing the first CG theatrical feature film made entirely in Ireland. The movie is based on a very well-known Hasbro property and we can’t wait to bring it to the big screen for the first time.

ROLE SUMMARY

The CG Supervisor works closely with the VFX Supervisor to identify potential strategies, assess technical options and evaluate production schedules and resources. Works hands-on to contribute through all stages of the Production.   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with the VFX Sup and Production Manager to define the creative and technical approach for the show
• Partner with Dept Supervisors to define and implement appropriate workflows
• Partner with Pipeline to define and roll out pipeline policies and changes 
• Identify areas of R&D required for the show 
• Meet with the Leads on the show on a regular basis to identify inefficiencies or technical problems with the toolset and pipeline, and put in place a plan of action to resolve such issues 

 Person Specification:

• 4+ years experience in high end CG experience in a feature animation or large scale VFX studio 
• Strong knowledge Python, C++
• 5 years of technical Maya, experience with Nuke, Houdini, Arnold, Katana 
• Experience using Shotgun
• Excellent problem solving skills proven team leadership, strong motivational skills and willingness to share knowledge
• Previous experience with team management and task assignment is required
