ROLE SUMMARY:
MSG is looking for a savvy, driven, financially astute, and
operationally-focused executive as the Head of Studio Services for Madison
Square Garden’s San Francisco office. The Head of Studio Services will be the
site leader for all employees of the MSG SF office and is responsible for oversight of all day-to-day creative and technical
production operations of the business. Focus will be on growing the
Studio capabilities for output, implementing all operational production
policies and procedures to maximize effectiveness; administering practical solutions
for a continual increase of departmental interaction, workplace efficiencies, and
productivity.
Must
have hands-on knowledge of the following technologies: AR/VR and Mixed Reality
Production, 3D Modeling, and Animation, Graphic Design and Branding, Large
Format Film Production, Website Design, and Development
The
successful incumbent will have 15+ years’ experience, strong leadership skills,
experience with artistic & entertainment commercial endeavors and will have
strong experience in growth companies.
Specific
Functions/Activities SUMMARY:
Act
as site leader for San Francisco studio, overseeing all production in support
of MSG business units with a focus on content for MSG Sphere.
Establish
the structure and models that will provide efficient processes across a
matrixed organization; drive consistency of performance, management and
workflow
Prioritize
internal projects, making staffing and capacity decisions with input from
department heads
Partner
closely with finance to analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecast data
to determine progress toward stated Company goals and objectives
Supervise,
manage and track project productivity across departments, providing regular
reports and updates to Corporate office and key stakeholders
Create
and maintain strategic partnerships with other Studios and key vendors
Drive
local and Company-wide initiatives through the Department Managers including
overseeing roll out and ongoing effective implementation, ensuring departments operate in accordance with
company policies and communications are cascaded and managed
accordingly/appropriately
Continue
to build, mentor, and maintain a team of the most talented and passionate
individuals in the industry.
Set
comprehensive goals for performance and growth, evaluating performance by
analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Working
alongside People Practices, establish local practices that promote the company
culture and vision
QUALIFICATIONS:
15+ years of relevant experience, managing multiple large projects and diverse
teams
Prior experience overseeing workflows, writing project plans,
creating timelines and driving successful execution of milestones, balancing
quality, budget, and schedule
Strong interpersonal,
analytical, problem solving, negotiating, facilitation, organizational,
prioritization, and decision-making skills
Demonstrated ability to assume a
leadership role in managing project, departmental and enterprise risks related
to projects.
Successful
history of client contact including experience in setting and managing client
expectations
Solutions-oriented with ability to drive
initiatives through to completion
Proven mentoring, supervisory, and
team-building skills
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, client-services environment
SUPERVISION:
Oversees this MSG SF site, currently approximately 55
people, with 2-3 direct reports at a VP level

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
Yes, frequent travel; estimate
monthly trips to other MSG sites, with focus on NYC and Las Vegas for immediate
future
