DHX Media – Vancouver is looking for an experienced Posing Coordinator to join our team! 

The role:

As the Posing Coordinator, you will be the go-to for coordinating the Posing teams, and will report directly to the Production Manager. You will manage the flow of this department and ensure all necessary elements are available to the team.

We are looking for someone who is incredibly organized and calm under pressure, passionate about the details, highly communicative and excited about joining a talented team of industry professionals working to create some of the best quality kids’ content in the business!

Responsibilities

You will get to:

• Work directly with the following people to organize the Posing team
• Directors / Production Team / Series Animation Director / Posing Supervisors / Posing Artists
• You will be at the helm, tracking and facilitating the following:
• Assigning all scenes to the artists, and ensuring they receive the required materials and reference files
• Coordinating with all up and down stream departments (Design, BGs, Builds, Editorial, Storyboards) in order to manage the needs of all teams
• Monitoring quotas and maintaining the workflow (via BNET, tracking software)
• Assigning and tracking revisions and notes, between the artists, supervisors and directors to ensure everything is covered and completed
• Hitting recurring episodic deadlines and preparing shipments to be sent to the animation team
• Providing workload reports to the production team on a daily and weekly basis, raising the flag whenever you encounter issues
• Being part of working out solutions to road blocks in order to keep production moving
• Act as the eyes and ears of the department and liaise between the Supervisors, Production Team and Directors
• Effectively communicate priorities, issues, and pertinent production info to any departments necessary
• Assist the layout department in troubleshooting technical issues and if necessary, liaise with I.T. to communicate problems

Specific skills we’d love to see…  

• Previous experience coordinating in production/animation is HIGHLY desired
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel such as basic formulas, formatting spreadsheets into presentable formats, exporting data from Excel to other formats, linking workbooks, sorting data for analysis, copying and pasting data sets between workbooks, and a strong ability to create and interpret reports
• High proficiency with emails – reading, interpreting, responding and distributing
• Animation Software experience, particularly in Harmony or Flash
