DIT/Archivist

Description

The DlT/Archivist ingests all raw video assets across SCAD’s media servers using established naming and metadata conventions to allow for optimal searchability by team members.

In this position, you will ensure the proper redundancy for all video assets and refresh/digitize archival media as needed. You will work closely with internal and external production, post-production and PR teams to manage and optimize video assets.

The ideal candidate has three to five years of experience ingesting video files and asset management. The candidate also has a strong knowledge of digital formats and video specs related to video production and postproduction. A strong technical background in format validation and conversion methods, data integrity techniques, metadata tagging best practices, long-term storage planning and digital asset management systems are all highly valued.

Required:
Bachelor’s degree, film and TV degree or professional production experience
