Harmony Compositor
Description
FuseFX Vancouver, BC is seeking talented Animation Compositors that are experienced in using Harmony for our in-house projects.
FuseFX is an award-winning visual effects and animation studio focused on producing photo-real digital effects for feature film, episodic television, and commercials.
Animation Compositors Preferred Requirements:
- Create and composite digital FX, within a Harmony compositing pipeline
- Collaborate with fellow artists and supervisors to achieve consistent and high-quality results
- Manage renders and set up shots technically
- Integrate all layers including animation, environment, lighting and EFX-related materials to create the final shots
- Ensure and maintain the expected quality, style and schedule across the production
- Meet production deadlines and maintain regular communication with leads and supervisors
- Collaborate with other team members to improve methods, workflows and techniques
- Analyze and troubleshoot common technical issues
- Identify and report any issues that arise that may affect timelines or delivery schedules
- Strong understanding of directory structure, file formats, naming conventions, scripts, automation tools, automated dailies
Knowledge of the following considered a bonus:
- Nuke
- Mocha
- After Effects
- 3D Equalizer
- Syntheyes
Skills / Responsibilities:
- 3+ years’ experience in a production environment
- Should effectively execute all necessary assigned tasks while under tight production schedule deadlines
- Previous experience in lighting and/or compositing in episodic TV or feature film animation
- Proficiency in Harmony is preferred
- Experience in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop is an asset
- Solid understanding of compositing, lighting, shading, colour and rendering
- Strong sense of design and shot composition
- Strong creative and technical abilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude
- Work well in a team environment
