THE ROLE.
Foundry is in search of a Creative Specialist to play a key role helping studios understand and deploy our fastest-growing VFX and animation product, Katana. We need someone incredibly passionate about production software pipelines to raise the creative potential of others. We are looking for someone who possesses technical, creative and training skills to educate and consult our clients on Katana usage and pipeline options.
This is a key role based in North America, reporting into the Head of Creative Specialists for the Americas region.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Advanced Katana user
- General production experience (ideally Pipeline TD experience)
- Must understand the relationship between asset management, render queue, and production software
- Advanced Python skills
- Comfortable working remotely; organised with strong time management skills
- Track record of fostering positive customer relations
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally periodically
- Passion for film, media and entertainment
- Eagerness to learn new techniques and constantly expand software knowledge
- Enjoys coaching, mentoring and teaching complex software solutions
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills addressing various groups of customers: technical, business, and/or project management
- Strong knowledge of 3D workflows, techniques, and applications
- Lua scripting knowledge is desirable
- C & C++ experience is desirable
