JOB DUTIES: The Mathematics & Computer Science Department at Lawrence Tech University invites applications for a full time tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Computer Science to start in the Fall 2020 semester. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in computer science, will have active research and teaching experience in Game Software Development, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Scientific Computing as well as interdisciplinary collaboration in their respective field. We will consider applicants with ample experience in game development combined with a Master degree in Computer Science.

They will be an exceptional teacher as well as an active scholar/ researcher.  Research in current topics is critical and can focus on pedagogical, applied, or theoretical research.  It will be expected that the ideal candidate will have success with publication and participation in peer reviewed professional conferences. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with faculty from other disciplines, such as Game Art, Management Information Systems, and Sciences. Teaching responsibilities can range from developmental computer science through introductory undergraduate and graduate level courses. Our primary mission is developing exceptional undergraduates through faculty engagement in collaborative student research, faculty use of active teaching techniques in the classroom, and faculty oversight of interdisciplinary student project teams. QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) in Computer Science or closely related field. We will consider applicants with ample experience in game development combined with a Master degree in Computer Science.
