Director of the School of Interactive Games and Media, Tenured Professor
The B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences is inviting applications for the position of Director of the School of Interactive Games and Media, Tenured Professor.
The Director of the School of Interactive Games and Media will lead a world class, top tier program into its next phase. To exercise leadership of an award winning, cutting-edge, collegial, and motivated professional community working with a global footprint, the School Director must be an equally accomplished and respected peer.
We are seeking a proven leader with experience in game and media development, or related fields, a track record of funded research, a commitment to interdisciplinary work, and demonstrated ability to manage an academic unit. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education, as well as the ability to provide leadership and support for faculty research, scholarship and curriculum development.
This administrative appointment is for four years (ten months plus part-time summer) and may be renewed. The anticipated start date is July 2020.

Candidate Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required:
• A terminal degree in a related discipline; PhD preferred.
• Associate or Full Professor, or Equivalent Industry Rank, or experience commensurate with the rank of professor in game and media development or related fields
• Teaching experience at the graduate or undergraduate level in game design/development, interactive media, or related areas.
• Strong Commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
• Preparation to assume the administrative responsibilities associated with leading a department which includes approximately 35 faculty and staff and over 800 undergraduate and 60 graduate students.
