I/ O OPerator

DESCRIPTION:

Operating in a fast paced environment the I/O operator will deal with digital assets entering and leaving the facility via electronic and physical means. Communicating effectively with the client and editorial team as well as DI facilities to ensure accurate and timely transfers. The position will involve afternoon and evening working hours. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handling incoming and outgoing secure data transfers for the studio
• Responsibility of timely communication with the team and the client and vendors
• Work with all projects and key stake-holders; clients and vendors in transferring data and remaining on top of all delivery needs 
• Maintaining of transfer audit trail
• Informing internal production and editorial that material is available for ingest
• Uploading material to client servers
• Managing the upload and download of material between the facility and outsource partners
• Accountable for protecting sensitive IP content entering and exiting the studio

REQUIREMENTS:

• Entry-level position
• Ability to work with high volumes of data to meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills, highly organized and detail oriented
• Proficient in Mac, and Linux operating systems
• Experience with a variety of file transfer protocols 
• Knowledge of production management software; Shotgun Studio
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
• Must be legally allowed to work in Canada
