Video Production Manager

Description

SCAD seeks a Video Production Manager to manage a team of producers creating a wide variety of smart, engaging content that embodies the SCAD lifestyle and brand personality. The successful candidate has extensive experience managing film/video productions, excels at navigating complex branding standards and guidelines, is self-motivated to problem-solve, and ensures work is produced efficiently and executed to the highest creative standards.

You are proficient in industry standard web/mobile-based production management software such as Studio Binder; have working knowledge of industry production contracts and the ability to negotiate terms independently, seeking guidance from legal when necessary; and take a disciplined approach to managing projects, while maintaining the flexibility to adapt when adjustments are required. Additionally, you possess extensive knowledge and experience with producing a wide variety of assets for use in digital, motion, social, and web media and can partner with both junior and senior creative team members to bring ideas to life.

The ability to identify and troubleshoot communication, logistical, and scheduling challenges, as well as navigate competing priorities, allocate resources appropriately, and mitigate associated challenges is essential.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in communications and media studies, photography/film/television, information technology/multimedia, and broadcasting
– Seven to 10 years of production-related experience at an advertising agency and/or internal creative department in a consumer marketing organization
– Five or more years of personnel management experience
– Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice
– Available to work outside office hours, including weekends and holidays
– Videography, audio, media management, and editing knowledge
– Experience as the face of creative production to external vendors and key internal stakeholders
– An understanding of the impacts of production decisions on both creative output and business results
– Expert at managing expectations, with the ability to identify and articulate alternative solutions when necessary
