Quality Assurance Specialist

We’re looking for dedicated, hard-working quality assurance specialist to perform high quality test planning, testing, and managing of all issues from creation to resolution. You will be a key member of a team that is solving real-world problems for military, healthcare, education, and commercial customers. You will serve multiple projects simultaneously, so agility, poise, focus, and communication skills are a must.

Job Responsibilities

  • Champion quality assurance within the studio to push for the best, bug-free products possible.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date bug database, providing a step-by-step process to recreate any issues.
  • Thoroughly test throughout all stages of development.
  • Work closely and communicate efficiently with the development team and producers to ensure all issues are known.
  • Work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Proof-read all written in-game content before any build release.
  • Create build release notes, installation instructions, and any other additional documentation for client distribution.
  • Assist in creating test plans to verify features, functionalities, and performance during development.
  • Organize external/internal play testing events including multiplayer testing.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Bachelor’s degree *or* 6+ years’ equivalent experience. 
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Self-directed, problem solver with a desire to contribute to a uniquely creative environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Extremely organized & detail oriented with consistent follow-through.
  • Experience with bug tracking software.
  • Up to date knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.

Preference to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • Experience in the gaming, entertainment, or simulation industry.
  • Experience creating test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA.
  • Experience with AGILE software development process.
  • Mastery of MS Word and Excel.
