CINEMATIC ANIMATOR - four month contract

Deck Nine Games is currently hiring several contract animators for our current game. You will work with facial motion capture data, adding nuance, intent and emotion.  Your goal is to deliver meaningful performances in our narrative adventure games that makes fans fall in love with the characters. The person we are looking for has demonstrable talent bringing character’s faces to life. We’re looking for a range of experience, so entry-level animators are welcome to apply. You will be integral to setting the quality bar for the game.

Responsibilities:

• In Maya, work with facial motion capture data to help bring out the actor’s performance – enhancing it and making it as appealing as possible
  
• Work with body motion capture data to craft the best performances possible

Requirements:

• Fluency in Maya
• A demo reel that demonstrates character, emotion and performance with an emphasis on facial animation
• Experience in game cinematics or film CGI is a bonus
  
• Position is a remote contract with an expected timeframe of four months
• You'll need to provide your own workstation and software
