SCAD seeks a Professor of Digital Communications for its Atlanta location to instruct and guide the university’s talented students as they prepare for creative careers.
Across three continents and online, SCAD curates digital design coursework through advanced learning resources and cutting-edge technology to ensure students advance their knowledge and practice. General education courses in technology proficiency and digital fluency provide the foundation for majors in specialized art and design disciplines. The numerous recognitions of SCAD students, including Adobe Design Achievement Awards, Clio Fashion and Beauty Awards, and top honors at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) College Game Competition, evidence the rigor of their preparation for success in a world connected through technology and design.
In this position, you will instruct students on the use of various design software, vector and raster graphics, image compositing, web design, and 2D and 3D animation, including project management and collaboration techniques with Microsoft Office 365, the Google software suite, and Adobe Creative Suite. Using your design expertise, technical skills, and knowledge of industry trends, you will help students find their creative niche as they experiment with the same professional instruments and immersive design technologies they will soon use in the workplace.

Requirements:
- Terminal degree or its equivalent in advertising, broadcast design, graphic design, motion graphics, photography, visual effects, or a related digital media or communication arts field
