In this role, you will work closely with the associate dean to provide vision and leadership as well as manage day-to-day administration. You will develop curriculum with faculty; foster interdepartmental collaboration; and direct, coordinate, and evaluate the foundation studies program toward enhancing SCAD’s reputation in academic and professional circles. You will also oversee the departmental budget, including its development and implementation; work with the admission department to recruit talented undergraduate and graduate students; evaluate professors through class observations and reviews of student evaluations; support professional development opportunities for faculty; and teach classes annually as assigned. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong portfolio of professional work and the ability to teach drawing and design classes in an active and engaging learning environment. Requirements
• A terminal degree in fine art or related art and design field
• A minimum of three years of university-level teaching experience
• A portfolio of professional work University-level administration experience is preferred. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is also preferred. |
