Sales & Marketing Manager



The Sales and Marketing Manager plays a key role in securing qualified high-end visual effects projects for Mavericks VFX. Working in collaboration with the Senior Management Team, the Sales and Marketing Manager acts as the primary sales contact for all new business while developing and executing the sales and marketing plan.

Job Responsibilities:

Creates a cohesive internal process and structure for new business development, collaborating with internal and external partners on the creation and execution of the Mavericks VFX sales and marketing strategy.

  • Strategic sales planning with the senior management team.
  • Ensures action items emerge from email correspondence and meetings.
  • Provides weekly Sales Reports to the Senior Management Team on the status of Business Development efforts.
  • Initiates communication between the Head of Production and key Production staff, ensuring clients receive rapid and thorough attention to new projects.
  • Responsible for the creation of external-facing presentation documents ensuring consistency in messaging and cadence, including:
    • Deck to introduce Mavericks VFX
    • Pitch deck templates
    • Bidding packages
  • Oversees all client engagement, gifts and other client entertainment
  • Assists with Mavericks VFX engagement with industry events
  • Conducts research on specialized projects
  • Researches emerging markets and track and report industry trends
  • Promotes and maintains the Mavericks VFX brand.
  • Acts as the media-relations point of contact.

Qualifications and Essential Skills:

 College or University degree in Sales and Marketing, Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years experience managing business development processes, or related experience in the visual effects or entertainment field.
  • Business intelligence and excellent communication skills are must.
  • Sound judgement, with the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and professional integrity.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities, campaigns and projects simultaneously.
  • Is collaborative by nature.
  • Demonstrated high-level technical problem solving and proficiency with software and systems (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SmartSheet, Filemaker, CRM, Calendars, email, etc.)
