Professor of Production Design: Costume Art

Description

SCAD seeks a Professor of Production Design for its Savannah location to inspire and instruct talented students.

In this position, you will teach production design and themed entertainment design classes. Using your design expertise and proven technical skills, you’ll teach a dynamic curriculum and be an integral part of developing future curriculum enhancements and production opportunities.

The ideal candidate has experience in designing for theater and film as well as themed entertainment. The candidate should be a designer with proven technical skills and experience draping and tailoring for both men and women as well as dyeing, fabric paint, makeup, and hair. Experience with Photoshop, hand and machine sewing, and pattern making by hand and computer is vital. The candidate should have three or more years of experience in higher education.

Requirements:
- Terminal degree or its equivalent in production design or a related field
- Strong portfolio of related professional work
