Professor of Interior Design

Description

Consistently ranked the top program in the U.S. by DesignIntelligence, SCAD’s interior design programs offer unparalleled learning experiences that prepare students to excel at top global firms. SCAD students draw on the knowledge and skills gained in interior design courses to win numerous honors from organizations such as the International Interior Design Association to Contract magazine, blending timeless design with modern style.

As a SCAD professor, you have the opportunity to provide students the expertise and fluency to employ aesthetic theory, culture, materiality and function in the design of interior spaces. Working with an engaging, diverse and talented international student body, the ideal candidate will have a strong professional portfolio as well as teaching experience in conceptual design development, space planning, FF&E, sustainability, materials, regulatory compliance and the preparation of construction documents.

SCAD interior design students gain valuable connections and professional experience in professor-led sponsored studio collaborations with major brands such as Walt Disney Imagineering, Chick-fil-A, Mohawk Industries and the Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway. With enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence, you will motivate students as they design meaningful and memorable design solutions for corporate partners.
Named among the best small cities in the U.S by Condé Nast Traveler, Savannah offers an inviting climate and a culturally rich downtown, providing a real-world workshop for the study of art and design.
