YOUR TEAM

The Digital Creation program aims to digitize the entire product design and creation process in adidas by building/providing/integrating/connecting innovative 3D tools and solutions. By establishing an end-to-end design to production process based on 3D models for both, apparel and footwear, we will unleash new creative potential in product creation and, at the same time, streamline processes by enabling better communication and decision making.

 YOUR ROLE

To support us on this project, we’re looking for an experienced solution architect to support us in setting up a scalable and future proof 3D asset pipeline.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• You will build a scalable infrastructure for our rendering production pipeline.
• You will work on optimizing our existing production pipeline for virtual product which is currently based on job distribution using Deadline and rendering in MODO.
• You will automate steps that are still done/triggered manually.
• You will scale the backend dynamically using AWS.
• You will feed information from the image creation pipeline back into our workflow management system. 
• You will monitor and visualize current utilization and progress of the render farm.

• Four-year college or university degree with focus on computer science or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7 years’ experience in IT.
• At least 3 year of experience in VFX or game industry with a focus on pipeline engineering / configuration and at least 3 years of experience as a solution architect.
• Expert knowledge in Python.
• Proficiency in working in and plugin development in least one 3D Tool (preferably Modo or Blender).
• Architecting scalable solutions in the cloud (AWS).
• Experience in working with render managers (Deadline, Shotgun).
• Prior work with databases and web stack (rest APIs, Elastic Search, …).
• Experience in streaming platforms (Apache Kafka).
• Basic knowledge in numerical mathematics and computer graphics / geometry processing.
• Contribution to open source projects.
• Experience in CI/CD technologies (e.g., Jenkins).
