Lead 3D Artist - Rehab Exercise Games

We develop cutting edge solutions to make a difference in the lives of seniors.  Our products deliver video games that allow individuals with poor mobility to engage in fun, gamified exercises in rehab hospitals, and from the comfort of their own home.

We are looking for a Lead 3D Artist to bring our interactive wellness experiences to life. If you’re a talented artist with a passion and specialty in 3D environment design and a proven track record creating fun and classy art assets, we want to hear from you! 


What you will be doing

As the Lead 3D Artist, you will be conceptualizing, creating and building beautiful game environments that engage and inspire older adults to exercise. Working as part of a tight knit multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to all stages of the design and development process. You’ll be mocking up visual concepts and iterating on visual designs to tailor the experience to the unique abilities and interests of seniors. 

You will be resourceful and creative. You will create original work, as well as research premade assets for integration into a unified game experience. You will also coordinate with external artists to develop assets in areas outside your core specialty (such as creating props, rigging characters and animation, VFX). 


Responsibilities 

  • Participate in brainstorming process 

  • Mock up ideas through sketches

  • Build 3D environments using original and pre-made work from the Unity asset store (High and low poly modeling, UV mapping and texturing)

  • Coordinate projects with external studio and freelancers around the creation of visual elements such as  props, character rigging and animation, SFX, lighting


What we are looking for

  • 2-5 years of experience  working on 3D video games on PC, mobile or console 

  • Ability to sketch, draw and paint original concepts using a traditional media and digital tools (eg. Photoshop, PaintStorm Pro, Procreate Ipad)

  • Ability to create 3D models using digital tools (eg. Maya, 3DS Max, Blender)

  • Good eye for form, color, design and composition

  • Excellent artistic and technical abilities demonstrated through a portfolio of work 

  • Familiarity with the art pipeline. 

  • Familiarity with integration of 3D assets into Unity/Unreal

  • Experience in project coordination a plus

  • A passion for making a difference

Remote Work

This position is fully remote. Candidates may apply from anywhere in Canada or the US but must be legally eligible to work in the US or Canada. Our offices are in Old Port Montreal, QC, our entire team is currently working remotely due to Covid-19. Once things return to normal, relocation may be possible, but is not required.
