Motion Edit Technical Director

Description

We are a Los Angeles based feature film production company creating movies in an AR/VR space. We are looking for Motion Editors that have a passion for motion capture and its use in virtual production.

Motion Editors will be responsible for taking body motion performance from the stage all the way through to integration in 3d environments and shots. Editing motion includes adjusting interaction and contacts between characters, props, and environment.

This is a technical artist position, where you will need to be able to catch, analyze and identify technical issues, but will also need a keen eye for motion, timing and posture. Although the primary job is as a motion editor as the department td, you'll be asked to modify existing tools, write scripts that will help automate workflows; help write up and follow up with bugs and feature requests with the other developers in the production.  Communication skills are important. You are driven, positive, and interested in the opportunity to take your motion capture skills and apply it to the ever changing needs of a cutting-edge film production.

The project is long term and so we are looking for candidates who can commit to multiple years of work.
