HR Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Assistant position provides a wide range of administrative support to ensure efficient operation in the HR Department. An important part of this role is to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. This position will support managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to onboarding, offboarding, training, benefits administration and payroll processing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Onboarding; completes and audits new hire paperwork, welcomes employees on their first day and coordinates monthly new hire orientation with the Executive Assistant to the CEO

·       Offboarding; provides assistance with offboarding paperwork, exit interviews and compiles exit surveys

·       Conducts bi-weekly payroll processing; timesheet collection and auditing, updates timesheets when necessary, completes payroll data upload and process

·       Organizes, compiles and updates personnel records in our electronic filing system and HRIS

·       Assists employees with basic interpretation of HR policies, procedures and issues

·       Tracks and coordinates sexual harassment training

·       Pulls time off balance reports, headcount, and payroll reports

·       Provides health insurance information and assists with benefit administration

·       Maintains and updates HR standard operating procedures (SOP)

·       Tracks and audits contractor invoices

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

·       B.A. Degree in Human Resources related field preferred

·       This is an entry level HR role with 1-2 years desired work experience

·       Proven written and verbal communication

·       Ability to maintain discretion and handle sensitive information

·       Strong interpersonal skills; must maintain positive demeanor

·       Excellent organizational skills

·       Attention to detail is critical

·       Ability to multi-task, time manage, and project manage

·       Ability to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure

·       Basic knowledge of labor laws

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint

·       Experience with ADP a plus
