TD Animation



Quantic Dream is looking for a TD Animation to join its Animation department.

  • You will be responsible for creating animation tools to meet production requests. You will work in close collaboration with the Animation and Programming departments on the development of animation tools to define the best technical solutions. 
  • You will have to validate and test the rigs provided by the 3D Characters Computer Graphics team in order to provide them with feedback (on the skinning for example, the joints positioning, or in the rig itself).
  • You will work directly with the animators to provide them with technical support and give them solutions to the problems they may encounter during production.
  • In addition to the R&D team in charge of the production pipeline for all of the studio's assets, you will develop tools to improve the animators’ productivity on a daily basis.
  • You will have to improve the existing animation tools and participate in the maintenance of existing scripts.
  • Finally, you will be responsible for creating documentation on the tools developed and training the animators on the use of these tools.
  • You will keep a constant watch on the evolution of new technologies and related innovations.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the development of video games or animated films.
  • Good knowledge of Maya, Motion Builder, C ++, Python and Mel.
  • Experience in developing animation tools.
  • Participation in the production of an AAA game or an animated film, especially in scripting.
  • Experience in pipeline development.
  • You show initiative and are proactive.  
  • Your creativity and practicality help you find and apply the best solutions.
  • A good understanding of new rigging techniques would be a plus.

Detroit: Become Human, which released on May 25th 2018 on PLAYSTATION 4, is Quantic Dream’s fastest selling title to date, having sold in excess of 1 million units in its first two weeks on shelves. Heavy Rain, which released in February 2010 and won three BAFTA and DICE awards, remains our bestselling title so far, with combined sales of over 5 million units worldwide on PS3 and PS4.

We are currently working on several unannounced titles.
