JOB DESCRIPTION:

Attached to our Lead Artificial Intelligence, and in collaboration with the rest of our R&D, you will be in charge of the development, enhancements, and optimizations required for the constant evolution of our AI engine. Your role will be to bring the quality of the AI technology of the studio beyond the current standards in the industry.


You have an excellent knowledge of the technologies of artificial intelligence applied to video games. You will be resourceful, motivated to accompany us on our future innovative AAA projects offering a high challenge.

As part of your job:

- You will participate in the improvement & extension of artificial intelligence of our internal engine on Playstation 4, also ensuring the implementation and monitoring in production. (FSM, path finding, behaviors, avoidance, ...).
- You will work closely with level designers and scripters to respond in the most effective way possible to their production problems, but also to provide them with clear and manageable constraints.
- You will be proactive on the AI engine possible evolutions, and on the best way to ensure a fluid & optimal production for the project
- You will be involved, with the engine animation team and the animators, in the design of the most adapted solutions to interactions between AI locomotion and animation.

PROFILE:

- 3-5 years experience in a similar position
- Technical expertise in artificial intelligence
- C/C++ Expert
- Good math capabilities
- Excellent adaptation skills
- Easy to work with. Want to follow up evolution and use of his code from the conception to use by the level designers/scripters.
- Rigor and reliability
- Excellent analytics and synthesis skills.

Since 2006, we have developed the three award-winning and multimillion selling Playstation titles HEAVY RAIN (PS3/PS4), BEYOND: TWO SOULS (PS3/PS4) and DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN (PS4).

Detroit: Become Human, which released on May 25th 2018 on PLAYSTATION 4, is Quantic Dream’s fastest selling title to date, having sold in excess of 1 million units in its first two weeks on shelves. Heavy Rain, which released in February 2010 and won three BAFTA and DICE awards, remains our bestselling title so far, with combined sales of over 5 million units worldwide on PS3 and PS4.

We are currently working on several unannounced titles.
