Senior Graphics Programmer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As part of its development and for its next ambitious productions, QUANTIC DREAM is expanding its 3D Rendering/Graphics Engine team.

Under the responsibility of the 3D Lead Engine and in collaboration with the rest of our R&D teams, you will participate in the development of graphic components for our projects. You will be proactive on the implementations of these systems and will integrate the selected solutions.

As part of your job, you will be required to discuss about graphical components with graphic designers/artists to understand their needs, and to show them how components and tools work.

We are looking for passionate 3D rendering programmers to work with us on our future AAA projects and ambitious unannounced productions.

Position to be filled in a talented and passionate R&D department in an innovative and creative environment.

 

PROFILE:

  • Master’s degree in computer science (engineering school or similar education) with at least 4 years of experience
  • Perfect mastery of C/C ++
  • Excellent level in Mathematics
  • Excellent knowledge of:
    • GPU programming (GLSL or HSLS)
    • At least one graphical API (OpenGL, Direct3D or GNM)
    • Various rendering techniques such as:
  • SSAO
  • Deferred Shading techniques
  • Shadows
  • Global Illumination
  • Particles , etc.
     
  • Strong relationship skills and desire to follow the evolution and the use of your code from its design, to its use.
  • Adaptability, rigor and reliability.
  • Analysis and synthesis skills
  • You show initiative and are proactive.
  • Your creativity and practicality help you find and apply the best solutions to move forward.
  • You want to be involved in high added value innovative projects

Pluses

  • Experience in console development
  • Experience with compute shaders 
  • Experience with advanced versions of OpenG L (4.3 or 4.4)
  • Experience with PS4 and XBox One platforms

QUANTIC DREAM was founded in 1997 by David Cage. Today co-managed by David Cage and Guillaume de Fondaumière, our studio has gained over the years international recognition for its contribution to interactive narration and its fresh thinking on emotion in games.

We are also considered to be one of the leading motion capture studios, especially for the creation of real-time 3D Virtual Actors performing with stunning realism.

We created the games OMIKRON THE NOMAD SOUL featuring recording artist David Bowie and FAHRENHEIT INDIGO PROPHECY.

Since 2006, we have developed the three award-winning and multimillion selling Playstation titles HEAVY RAIN (PS3/PS4), BEYOND: TWO SOULS (PS3/PS4) and DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN (PS4).

Detroit: Become Human, which released on May 25th 2018 on PLAYSTATION 4, is Quantic Dream’s fastest selling title to date, having sold in excess of 1 million units in its first two weeks on shelves. Heavy Rain, which released in February 2010 and won three BAFTA and DICE awards, remains our bestselling title so far, with combined sales of over 5 million units worldwide on PS3 and PS4.

We are currently working on several unannounced titles.
