TITLE: GAME PLAY PROGRAMMER/SOFTWARE ENGINEER
JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a talented software engineer to join our Amusement division’s development team. This
talented individual will help create Incredible Technologies’ next
generation of games, as well as contribute new features to such classics
as Golden Tee, Power Putt Golf, and Silver Strike Bowling. In
addition to technical skills, applicants must have clear communication
skills, a solid work ethic and be able to thrive in a team environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The
implementation of game features including: new game modes, game flow,
front end menus, in game UI, Sound integration and network
communications.
- Work with other disciplines (Art, Sound, QA, etc.) as needed to realize our goals
- Mentor younger software engineers on the team
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- A strong knowledge of C/C++.
- Well-developed troubleshoot and debugging skills
- Familiarity with the video game development process
- Working knowledge of any of the various video game subsystems is a plus, including: graphics, animation, AI, and audio.
- Experience with any of the following tools is a plus: Visual Studio, GDB, Perforce, Python, Bash, Postgres, SQL
- Familiarity with artist tools such as 3D studio MAX and the associated exporting processes
- Comfortable developing in the windows and Linux environments
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
- Must be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal direction
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- At least 10 years of C/C++ experience
- At least 5 years of experience in the video game industry
