Jr. Mocap Producer

Deck Nine Games is looking to hire a Junior Mocap Producer for our Motion Capture department. Working under the Mocap Producer, together you are responsible for the planning and execution of all motion capture production.

Located near Boulder, Colorado, Deck Nine Games is a BAFTA and VGA nominated developer of narrative adventure games. Always innovating, we're growing and are seeking additional motion capture technicians to join our amazing team.

Our motion capture producers get to work with bleeding edge motion capture technology and are essential to ensuring that shoot days run smoothly and efficiently while facilitating the highest possible creative output.

This position will be mostly onsite with an option to work remote on some days.


Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of motion capture staff, who is dedicated to capturing the highest quality full performances possible

  • Coordinate and schedule talent for auditions, rehearsals, technical tests, and performance shoots for multiple projects

  • Assemble shooting scripts for distribution to actors

  • Maintain a fast-paced shooting schedule to meet publisher milestones

  • Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with all external clients including casting directors, actor’s agents, and publishers

  • Able to balance work with diverse tasks and shifting priorities

  • Co-manage a detailed Voice Over Management document for each project

  • Co-manage an internal system for tracking and recording all motion capture

  • Act as a reader for actors when needed

  • Operate a reference camera on-set when needed


Requirements & Skills

  • Possess clear, efficient communication skills

  • Exceptional organization and time management skills

  • Demonstrate an extraordinary attention to detail and the ability to solve problems on the fly

  • Ability to work calm under pressure, re-prioritize on the fly, and meet production goals

  • Proactive with identifying areas for improvement and pursuing solutions for them

  • Able to collaborate with anyone effectively, actively fostering a humble environment of teaching, learning, and growing within the team

  • Ability to work on-site in our studio located in Westminster, CO near Denver and Boulder, most days a week


Bonus

  • Experience in producing film, TV, or mocap

  • Experience using Jira and/or Confluence

  • You have a deep desire to push cinematic storytelling in video games

  • Possess excellent troubleshooting abilities, both creatively and technically
