Interaction Designer

Description

This Design Group is creating the next generation of clinical tools that harness the power of big data to deliver truly personalized medical and clinical insights to doctors, healthcare professionals and patients.  To do this, our world class team of designers, user researchers, interaction and behavioral scientists needs to grow.  We are looking for some short-term visual designers, interaction designers and a scientific visualization artist to bring problem-solving skills to deliver cohesive and compelling interface designs for these next generation digital tools.

You’ll dive deep into new spaces - understanding your users’ needs, workflows, motivations and how things work in the users’ realities. You love to explore a wide range of concepts and work collaboratively with teammates to quickly iterate, validate, and refine ideas together. You’re an organized, flexible, and motivated self-starter, comfortable iterating quickly and viewing constraints as creative opportunities.  You must be comfortable working with projects that are evolving quickly.

You enjoy creating novel products through hands-on design work. In this role you’ll work closely with our interaction design scientists and directors to develop new interaction mechanics, gestures, workflows, core retention loops, design patterns and related artifacts.  You are very comfortable sketching, wireframing, mocking-up, prototyping, building with duct tape and bailing wire, and iterating until we have a design that truly empowers our users.   You should have a Bachelors’ degree in interaction design, industrial/product design, game design, service design, human computer interaction or behavioral sciences in addition to a minimum of 3 years professional experience designing and developing engaging products and/or interfaces for consumer or healthcare products.
