Junior Technical Director
Liquid Animation is currently seeking a talented and experienced Junior TD to join our team.
Salary based on experience.
Liquid Animation is one of Australia’s leading animation companies. We’re offering the opportunity to work across an extensive range of projects for several world-renowned clients & companies. You will ensure the integrity of projects, pipeline components, and data flow across the studio.
We value candidates with a positive attitude, a great work ethic, and an ability to contribute in a team environment. You will be reporting to the Technical Director and working closely with our Creative Directors, and Production Management team.
The ideal applicant will assist with:
- ensuring that tools and procedures support creative processes
- testing/validating custom proprietary software and plugins
- problem-solving day to day issues as they arise through production
- create and update technical documentation
- maintaining clear and concise data and information repositories sourced directly within the production processes
The ideal applicant will have a thorough knowledge of:
- asset development processes and workflows across Autodesk Maya
- lighting and rendering processes and workflows across Autodesk Maya, Foundry Nuke
- python including the pyqt, pymel and other common libraries
- typescript, javascript, c# (c++ is a bonus)
- strong written and verbal English language skills
Additionally, it would be highly beneficial to have a knowledge of:
- nodejs, angular, webhooks, RESTful interfaces and other development concepts and platforms
- experience with google firebase, mongo, azure, box or other database and cloud storage systems and corresponding SDK
- experience working with asset development pipelines featuring unity/unreal
- experience working with production render pipelines (VRay would be highly beneficial)
Please note: Local candidates, in-house in Brisbane are preferable. We are open to hiring remotely for the right candidate.
