Senior Creative Director

Based in our Burbank, CA Studio, with a fast-growing team, the Senior Creative Director is responsible for developing world class experiences and shows through that successfully bring this new platform to life for audiences and artists alike. You are a proven hands-on leader with exemplary conceptual, aesthetic and design skills that thrives on the challenge of leading through doing and making with a startup mentality. This role requires skilled collaboration across multiple stakeholders and highly skilled in physical, digital and environmental design and with a deep understanding of show craft. Specific Functions/Activities Summary

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strategize, concept and design innovative experiences for the main attractions, music residencies and brand partnerships at Sphere rooted in strategic insights, to deliver that drive audiences and build reputation.
• Lead internal brainstorms on assigned projects, collaborate cross-functionally with other creative stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams from conception to execution.
• Steward the creative integrity of projects and champion artistic and design excellence for our creative partners
• Execute and manage integrated content and production design for multiple platforms and canvases from idea to deliverables with a focus on feasibility, logistics and budget continuity.

• Build relationships with stakeholders and clients; based on trust, respect, objective listening, and alignment with their needs alongside demonstrating ambitious creative concepts and opportunities
• Work closely with creative leadership to elevate the team’s creative output and establish a high bar for excellence
• Lead, and mentor a team of exceptionally talented designer sto develop industry leading concepts and executions.
• Cultivate healthy processes and relationships while pushing creative boundaries
  
  

• 8+ years of creative direction experience in relevant industries, developing innovative and engaging experiential concepts across digital and physical platforms, including live show design, installation and activations and large-scale digital content
• Demonstrated creative and design excellence with career progression in your portfolio
• Proven track record of working at scale and pace, with experience in a range of industries, including live events, immersive experiences with entertainment, brand and cultural clients
• Demonstrated ability in written communication and presentation copy writing
• Advanced proficiency in relevant design software (ex. Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, After Effects, and/or 3D software)
• Articulate and charismatic speaker who can lead discussions and captivate a room
• Adept at visualizing concepts across a wide range of mediums
• A deep understanding of the intersection of art, design and technology to drive audience engagement
• Objective listening skills with the ability to formulate information into concepts and designs that are technically and economically viable
• Reliable decision-making capabilities, based on solid understanding of how to balance creative expression, pragmatic design, and business needs
• Strategic and agile thinker who can pivot the creative and evolve design to meet shifting needs
• Ability to seed and generate a larger sustainable holistic vision across platforms, locations, and supporting initiatives
