Lead Game Designer

Description

Tic Toc Games is seeking a Lead Game Designer with outstanding communications skills and a proven track record of shipping high quality free-to-play mobile games. The ideal candidate should be able to cast a clear vision for game features, create thoughtful wireframes & specs, write easy to understand user stories, and drive game design at all stages from conception through live ops.
Responsibilities:
  • Own the process of distilling product and business needs into elegant, delightful designs informed by data and player feedback
  • Design addictive game systems such as live events, progression & reward structures, economies, and social features that delight, engage, retain and monetize players
  • Manage design team through mentorship, task allocation, and collaborative spec reviews
  • Proactively seek peer & customer feedback and distill into inflective solutions.
  • Breakdown product (both ours & the competitors) to understand what is compelling, articulate why it works, how to adapt it to other contexts and how to measure its success.
  • Create clear, efficient wireframes and feature specs that can be converted into User Stories effortlessly
  • Work with tech artists and programmers to ensure features are accurately and consistently represented in the game
Requirements:
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about Free-to-Play games.
  • 5+ Years of Experience as a Game Designer.
  • Shipped multiple high quality products as a Game Designer 
  • mobile F2P game preferred
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative to make the game better.
  • Familiarity with design for mobile space - understanding of device constraints, user context, interaction trends and conventions
  • Ability to work well within a dynamic, cross-discipline, iterative environment.
Pluses:
  • You have developed your own games for fun.
  • You’re proficient in multiple design tools (Lucidchart, Balsamiq, Adobe XD, etc)
  • You love console and pc gaming.
  • You love sketching your ideas.
  • You are familiar with basic game analytics.
  • You have a personal website that showcases your games!

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
COVID-19 considerations:
