Job Description
RougeMocap is looking for talented and enthusiastic Layout/Scene Assembly Animators for an exciting AAA project. If you are interested in joining the team, we are looking for applicants that have thorough knowledge of Scene assembly, Layout, Motionbuilder, and Maya.
The Layout/Scene Assembly Animator is responsible for compiling data from the mocap shoot and integrating the elements into the scene to create inspiring, engaging, appealing performances within the shot.
Responsibilities
•Ensure that characters, props, sets, motion capture data and rough cameras
for a shot are set up properly for Animation department
• Create high quality scenes utilizing motion capture data and environments.
• Help improve animation pipelines and provide quick fast paced animations.
• Managing shot/sequence responsibilities within fast paced deadlines
• Maintain technical cleanliness in all work. Take personal accountability for
deliveries and proactively identify possible technical concerns.
• Collaborate with Supervisor and other artists on the team to help create a fluid environment
Requirements:
• The ideal candidate should have at least 1-3 years experience in Layout and scene assembly.
• Experience in Maya and Motionbuilder
• Strong eye for technical errors and improvements and with the ability to work on the fly in a fast paced environment
• Strong scene assembly and previs animation skills
• Proficient in compiling motion capture data with scenes, props and environments from clients
• Must be able to take direction and effectively communicate with team
• Strong communication skills in client-facing situations, including but not limited to, email, database tracking, understanding and interpreting creative notes
