Localization Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
This position ensures localized products have excellent translation quality and are culturally appropriate for the US market. Responsible for supporting the Localization Producer with project administration tasks on localization projects as assigned. Will act as a liaison between Namco Bandai Games America Inc. (NBGA) and Namco Ltd. (NLD) and Bandai Co., Ltd. (BANDAI) in Japan to facilitate inter-company communications and coordinate localization projects, and will track project materials (technical materials, design, art, music, etc.).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Localization:
· Support Localization Producer on localization project coordination
· Translate project documents from Japanese to English or vice versa and generate reports in either language as necessary
· Communicate with NLD and BANDAI development staff to facilitate localization projects
· Manage external translation projects and monitor translation quality
· Provide support as necessary to the Localization Producer during software/hardware product submissions process
· Coordinate with marketing department on package design, product manuals, strategy guides, game demos, event preparations, and marketing materials
· Product Evaluation

QA Testing Support:
· Evaluate game-play, product quality, and US marketability of NLD, BANDAI and externally developed products
· Support Localization Producer to maintain files of test reports and product information
· Translate and distribute test reports to NLD, as well as translate and forward comments from NLD to QA
