ASVP Stage Coordinator

Job summary
Amazon Studios Virtual Production (ASVP) is looking for a seasoned, dynamic ASVP Stage Coordinator to help support a robust and innovative global Virtual Production Department. Amazon Studios will have virtual productions of different sizes popping-up in different cities around the world. Your home base will be at the historic Culver Studios. Expect to remain here during much of your training, supporting technicians, artists, and production on local VP shows. Come help define the next generation of how and what Amazon customers are watching.

Key job responsibilities
• Assist Head of World-wide VFX and ASVP Executives in building a robust VP departmental structure.
• Main responsibility is assisting the ASVP team with production tasks and coordinating stage personnel.
• Assist with install of the systems, testing of machine rooms/volumes, and training of control team.
• Assist with hardware and software maintenance schedule for VP equipment.
• Assist with stage prep & production scheduling.
• Responsible for ASVP team, vendor, and production schedules after stage bookings.
• Assists with coordinating studio lot drive-ons, crew Covid testing, daily call sheets, security protocols, and all accessibility to and from the stage
• Coordinate stage HVAC and electrical scheduling, stage asset logistics, and other daily stage operations.
• Coordinate department databases to track VP costs and VP talent availability pools.
• Coordinate the ASVP team with Amazon Production Technology, AWS, Epic Games and other vendors in developing for stage and remote cloud VP production.
• Contribute to and assist in managing a digital asset management system for the ASVP/VFX departments.
• Assist with weekly cost report tracking for VP show spend on stage.
• Assist our VFX producers and studio VP team with internal weekly reporting systems.
• Coordinate and collaborate with Amazon Exec’s, key creatives, and show productions for VP opportunities and for ASVP execution.
• Help create promo/educational material for Amazon Execs and Originals teams.
• Coordinate with internal teams to provide information and creative content that supports marketing, product placement, promotions, and publicity.
• Assist with weekly delivery reporting with VFX producers to keep VP shows on schedule.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience as a Visual Effects coordinator or equivalent.
• Understand concepts, practices, and procedures used in one or more of the following domains: VFX, live-action film production, Post-production, and the game technologies.
• Direct experience is building databases and tracking assets, teams, and vendors.
• Direct experience in big-budget films and or/series, preferably in heavy visual effects arenas or on-set, live action shooting.
• Direct experience with scheduling and building daily reports.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with on-set protocols and etiquette.
• Experience with VFX, VP, and/or Post-production workflows.
• Experience with organizing teams and departments.
• Experience in coordinating with VFX and VP vendor partners.
• Experience working with a robust DAM solution and asset coordination from multiple vendors.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills; ability to handle multiple projects at once.
• Ability to prioritize and respond effectively in fast paced VP environment, across shows in various points of production.
• Strategic and programmatic problem solving skills.
