Who are we hiring?
The DevOps / Systems Engineer is a versatile and highly motivated systems administrator responsible for assisting internal team members with systems and third-party software installation and configuration related matters. As a DevOps professional you will be a central figure providing technical expertise to other team members for both production and non-production systems. This role requires working on highly complex systems and providing general technology assistance. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of working on systems that are redundant, modular, and flexible to meet the ever-shifting priorities of a production environment. The DevOps / Systems Engineer is an organized yet adaptable systems administrator who can maintain stability while safely deploying new software, patches, configurations, or critical updates.
What will you do?
- Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate their collaboration.
- Proactively review, monitor, address and prevent issues in production environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reported software/system related issues (production and non-production environments)
- Facilitate automating third-party application/software deployment.
- Create and document system changes, updates, and resolutions.
- Clearly communicate status of open issues to the team and management
- Confidently make informed, data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Collaborate with multiple departments to help design, implement and maintain a flexible deployment structure for in-house and third-party applications.
- Continuously audit Studio security systems and protocols to assure best practices and security standards are closely adhered to at all times.
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years supporting production software applications
- 5+ years’ experience with systems and IT operations (DevOps experience a plus)
- Proven troubleshooting skills in dynamic environments
- Working knowledge of TPN, PCI, and other data security standards
- Self-motivated, directed, and passionate about what you do
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, including good technical writing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and assignments and pivot between tasks to meet most urgent needs in the Studio
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
- Working knowledge of TPN, PCI and other data security standards.
