DevOps Engineer (Animation Dept.)

The DevOps Engineer will work closely with the Development and IT teams to build, maintain, and deploy internal tools for process automation and continuous delivery/deployment as part of a larger automation overhaul company-wide.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with Development and IT Managers to build best practices for ease of automation
  • Maintaining software development code streams in Perforce and Git
  • Integrate SaaS microservices to provide a unified data pool
  • Maintain CI/CD and testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered
  • Develop production testing environment and virtualization of production environments for automated testing

Essential Skills:

  • BS in Computer Science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study OR IT experience
  • Familiarity with agile software development
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies: Docker, Docker Desktop, Hyper-V
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code/infrastructure automation tool, such Ansible and Powershell
  • Strong understanding of DVCS systems: Perforce/Git
  • Experience administering and deploying CI/CD tools: Circle CI, Travis CI, GitLab, Jenkins, AWS/GCP/Azure
  • Experience with Web API protocols: REST/SOAP/GraphQL
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating system environments
  • Strong understanding of computer networking, network traffic flow, and networking protocols.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Elasticsearch (Elastic Stack, ELK)
  • Familiarity with container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Familiarity with multi-model database architecture, such as Azure Cosmos DB
  • Familiarity with configuration of Crucible, ReviewBoard and/or Upsource Code Review systems
  • General understanding of a zero trust security paradigm
  • Knowledge of Python, Powershell, C++, or other Object-Oriented programming languages
  • Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
