Executive Assistant to President of MSG Sphere


Who are we hiring?
We’re looking for an incredible Executive Assistant to help the President of the MSG Sphere build and lead a world class organization that’s creating the future of live entertainment. We’re building the world’s most technically advanced live music and entertainment venue in Las Vegas (opens in 2023) and a Hollywood Studio in Burbank CA. We support a team of over 300 people today that will double in size soon.

What will you do?

The Executive Assistant to President of MSG Sphere role is focused on three key responsibilities. ? 


Be a force multiplier for the President. Maximize how we use time and resources. Plan calendars, travel, agendas, team meetings, budgets,?and expenses to help?the President maximize his ability to create value for the organization.?Have great foresight, time management, and be able to solve problems so we can focus on building team, culture, process, and business impact. Specific areas of focus include:? 

  • Manage President’s Schedule: Maximize productivity of how he spends each week. ? 
  • Book Travel: Coordinate flights, hotels, and ground transportation. ? 
  • Enable great meetings: Plan agendas, ensure pre work is complete, invite right people? 
  • Manage budgets & expenses: Ensure we spend the company money wisely. ? 

Be a steward of culture and relationships. Help make the MSG Sphere organization a great place to work and a great team to do business with.?The candidate will build excellent relationships with the teammates that support other MSGE executives. Be a great partner and help others succeed. Help the President build great relationships with stakeholders. To be successful, the MSG Sphere will partner with creators (Film Directors, Major Musical Acts etc), with Brands and Advertisers, and with Fans and Communities where we do business. The candidate will help manage these relationships and ensure our partners feel heard and supported. ? 

  • Manage relationships: Use great interpersonal skills to serve others. Ultimately, we’re leaders in service of others in the organization. Be adept at juggling too little time for too many meetings. Make decisions on how we invest our time while ensuring people feel considered and supported. ? 
  • Communicate brilliantly: Help build our team culture by communicating effectively within and outside the organization. Help explain context that drives buy in and engagement among our team members and our external partners. ? 
  • Plan events: Plan and design team all hands, team offsites, executive summits, and key partner events that may include dinners, entertainment, or planning time. 
  • Drive research: Be adept at doing research quickly for a client meeting or finding the right location for a partner dinner that night. Be able to sort through information and synthesize it for the President with little lead time. ? 

Help the President build a high performance organization. The candidate will be asked to provide leadership in making the MSG Sphere a highly functioning team. The candidate will be a partner to the President to think through organization design, how we set goals and objectives, how we do our daily work (process), how we recruit and attract talent, and how we inspire people to do the best work of their life. A candidate with an interest in organizational effectiveness will be highly valued.? 

  • Be a thought leader: Drive thinking in organizational design, work process, and building culture. ? 
  • Be a partner to our People Ops and Recruiting Team: We will hire many people in the next two years. Partner with recruiting to think through how to be most effective and productive in how we recruit.? 
  • Be a listener: Build trust with the organization and facilitate ways to listen to the organization (ie skip levels, engagement surveys, polls, all hands etc) that allows the President to stay in touch with the reality of how the team feels. ?

What do you need to succeed?
  • A demonstrated track record of strong acumen. Academic background, proof of intellectual capability, demonstrated curiosity and desire to learn is required. ?
  • Prior experience as an Executive Assistant or C Suite Business Partner with at least two meaningful work experiences.?  
  • Be a digital native. Be comfortable with cutting edge technology. Be well versed in the most modern ways organizations communicate.   
  • Extremely high emotional intelligence and empathy. Be a servant leader for our organization. ?  
  • A solid balance of qualitative and quantitative skills. Must be a strong writer, listener, and have excellent analytical skills to manage budgets, expenses, and complex problems.?  
  • Proactive, responsive, and upbeat with strong organizational skills and process orientation. ?  
  • Brings attention to detail and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. ?  
  • Proven ability to maintain discretion and work with highly confidential information. ?
