Bookkeeper

Description

We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper/Payroll resource with a solid Quickbooks and payroll experience to monitor the finances of our growing company. You will be responsible for payroll processing and managing invoices and payments.

Daily responsibilities include recording day-to-day financial transactions of our company. The successful candidate will accurately perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records of financial transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis.
  • Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including recording and processing payments.
  • Manage all contractor agreements and payments.
  • Process garnishments.
  • Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, recording deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
  • Maintain and balance the general ledger in month-end close, including reconciling accounts and posting journal entries.
  • Maintain digital financial records.
  • Able to maintain confidential information.

 


Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred; and 2 years’ experience working in accounting/bookkeeping/payroll
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Previous payroll processing experience required
  • Paycom payroll software experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy in all general ledger transactions

Salary Range: $45,000- $55,000/year
