The Senior Manger Business Operations role will help ensure we build a high-performance team that functions at its peak potential. This leader will ensure we complete pre-work, frame issues in the right way, get the right people in the room, and coach teams to present recommendations and plans in ways that facilitate great business decisions. Teams will better understand the context for why decisions got made and they will feel more connected to the mission because we communicate effectively horizontally and vertically throughout the organization and with our partners. The leader will also be a steward of our organization’s culture. This work will help us become a great place to work and will help create a culture that attracts the best talent.
What will you do?
• Help build and structure growing team
• Design and manage the operating system that helps us lead and run the Sphere Business day-to-day
• Define the right mix of weekly leadership team meetings, domain specific decision-making meetings, quarterly offsites, team all hands to ensure we make smart decisions, at great speed, with the right information
• Ensure proper communication and cascading of information to help teams feel included, enrolled and recognized for their hard work
• Be a steward for MSG culture
• Ensure leadership takes the time to reward, recognize and celebrate wins along the way
What do you need to succeed?
• 3-10 years of experience in business operations
• Strong attention to detail, a passion for process, and a deep understanding or organizational behavior
• Must be a passionate student of creating high performing teams with a bias towards organizational effectiveness and a minor in leadership best practices
• Exhibit tremendous humility, emotional intelligence and earn the trust of an organization easily
• Be an amplifier for a leader in an organization
• Experience in Television and/or Film production is a plus
• Ability to attend variety of meetings, translate issues and help advance projects
• Excellent knowledge, with proven experience, of Microsoft Office applications
• Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of management
• Proven logical skills, well organized and detail oriented
