Jr. Motion GFX Artist

JR. MOTION GFX ARTIST


Support nimble team in the creation, production and delivery of premium social marketing content for high profile theatrical campaigns. Ideal candidate is passionate about visual storytelling, is team oriented, possesses a blend of technical and creative skill sets and is eager to grow as a creative professional. 


DUTIES
• Animate dynamic captions in established style that flow with the dialog cadence/timing
• Create transitions in between shots on brand with the property and align with current social editing trends
• Convert/format approved cuts into varying platform specs (9x16, 1x1, 4x5 etc.)
• Prep source files for global distribution
• Build out GFX cards and endcards
• Generate platform specific concepts for social campaign pitches


EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2-3 years professional agency experience in similar role
• Entertainment marketing experience preferred
• Previous experience with digital out of home billboards and delivery specs, preferred
• Experience converting approved creative into varying sizes and formats


REQUIREMENTS

CREATIVE

  • Able to see motion graphics assignments through from concept through execution

  • Familiarity and experience with AE-based text animation techniques

  • Experience with marrying design, GFX and print elements to live action footage to create compelling campaign narratives

  • Ability to animate text for dynamic subtitles, build GFX cards, create transitions aligned with current trends

  • Familiarity with social media platforms best practices, formatting and specs

  • Familiar with social content trends (TikTok, Instagram)

  • Experience with 9x16 video content creation preferred

TECHNICAL

  • Proficient in After Effects (1 year min. required) Photoshop and Premiere

  • Familiar with the principles and practice of rotoscoping footage in AE or Mocha AE

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • General understanding of frame rates, conversions, & codecs

  • Meticulous, collaborative, patient, level headed, able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.

  • Willing and eager to learn

  • Takes direction well

TEAM PLAYER

  • Must be team oriented

  • Ability to work independently, possessing good communication skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Ability to trouble shoot and solve problems with the discernment to know when to ask for help.

  • Must be able to quickly pick up on workflows and procedures

  • Experience working in a deadline driven environment

  • Able to quickly switch gears and pivot to different projects as needed

  • Meticulous, collaborative, patient, level headed, able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.

  • Available to work a flexible schedule including potential overtime with little or no notice

BONUS

  • experience with 3D software (primarily Cinema 4D)

  • working knowledge of Illustrator

  • general understanding of network storage (NAS)
