VP Customer & Growth Marketing


Who are we hiring?
Reporting to the SVP of Marketing and Communications, the Vice President of Customer and Growth Marketing will be charged with leading the customer acquisition and brand growth strategy for MSG Sphere in Las Vegas. This individual will partner with Customer Insights, Brand Marketing, Communications, Studios and Sales and Sponsorships to design and execute our customer acquisition strategy to sell tickets to MSG Sphere events. The candidate will increase awareness and purchase intent for the MSG Sphere brand. In turn, they will drive sales for MSG Sphere events, including music residencies, immersive attractions and other marquee events. The leader should have a strong background in performance marketing to meet clear revenue goals, be knowledgeable in both the B2C and B2B marketing space and have expertise in audience segmentation and development. In-depth knowledge and understanding of digital platforms and how to leverage them to drive awareness, affinity, and engagement, and fan growth is crucial. Previous marketing experience leading a product, brand or business launch, as well as experience in live entertainment, music, film, sports, hospitality or technology industries is strongly preferred. Ability to foster productive relationships with multiple internal stakeholders in a matrix environment, move complex projects forward on time and on budget, and comfort in a KPI driven business will be critical to success. Experience with media planning and buying, as well as managing outside creative agencies is required. This position can be based in Los Angeles at the MSG Sphere Studios offices or in Las Vegas at MSG Sphere, reporting into the SVP of Marketing and Communications based in NYC. Periodic travel required of this position.

What will you do?

• Work with the SVP of Marketing and Communications, SVP Sponsorship and Sales, and other key leaders across Insights, Finance and Studios, to define our customer acquisition strategy.

• Ensure our target audiences and prime prospects are sufficient to meet our business goals.

• Work with outside promoters and partners to drive ticket sales to key events such as concerts, attractions, gaming and competitive combat events.

• Work with Studios team in coordination with artists, filmmakers and brands partnering with Sphere to drive brand awareness, affinity, ticket sales and customer satisfaction.

• Manage outside agency partners around creative advertising, media planning and buying and customer segmentation.

• Work with Sales and Finance to measure CAC and continuously adjust marketing plan to ensure effective ROI and progress against ticketing strategy and revenue goals.

• Manage and collaborate with a cross-functional team of ticketing, pricing analytics, insights, web and social leaders to drive growth.

What do you need to succeed?

• 15 years of world class marketing experience in a consumer-facing industry. Must have strong skills in performance marketing and driving new customer growth.

• 8+ years managing a team of marketing, insights, sales or some combination.

• Proven ability to deliver customer growth and revenue as part of marketing goals.

• Experience managing outside creative agencies, research agencies and media planning and buying.

• Creative and strategic thinker who is excited to help create a new destination and category of entertainment.

• Collaborative leader who is comfortable in a matrix and results driven environment.

• Excellent time management skills and ability to be results-driven in a fast-paced environment.

• Nimble leader, able to motivate a team and scale quickly
